I Museo Archeologico Nazionale 's store Damien Hirst-katalog fra oktober 2004 får kunstneren følgende spørgsmål:
"But how do you choose titles normally? Do you find them or do you invent them?"
Damien Hirst svarer:
"I think it is collage, the whole thing is collage. There are titles and there are sculptures. I have constantly got ... I'm into words as well as visual things. I have constantly got a whole thing going on with words and sculptures and then I just basically put the things together. Sometimes it is really easy and sometimes it is really hard. I have got a title for a sculpture at the moment, which I really want to make a sculpture for, but I haven't worked it out. Which is Devoured by a Desire to Walk in Front of You with a Duvet Until You Die, which is about children. About having children. I just love it and I have had it for ages and never worked out a sculpture for it. Eventually I will have to sit down and try and work something out. I have done some drawings, but I have never worked it out. I was thinking what could it be? While you have got that you are constantly thinking ... That title will make me start making the sculpture, so I coluld start the sculpture, to make a sculpture which suits that title and it could work out or I could put it to one side and forget about it then I can do a sculpture later on and suddenly go, "Oh, my God! This is the title for that sculpture".
